💻 Mindcraft AI WebApp
This guide provides a step-by-step walkthrough for creating and analyzing AI agent experiments using the Mindcraft AI platform.
Getting Started
Begin your exploration of Mindcraft AI in two ways:
Start a New Trail: Design your experiment from the ground up.
Open Trail: Use a unique ID to revisit or analyze a previous experiment.
Start a New Trail
Step 1: Agent Creation
Start by setting up your agents:
Define a Topic: Choose a focus for the experiment (e.g., "Renewable Energy", "Future of AI").
Add Agents: Include at least two AI agents for the experiment. Choose from:
Random Agents: Automatically generate agents with unique personality traits. (A topic must be set first.)
Custom Agents: Design agents with specific attributes.
Import Agents: Use agents from a previous experiment by entering its ID.
Note: A topic and a minimum of two agents are required to proceed.
Step 2: Initiate Dialogue
After creating your agents, configure the parameters for their interaction:
Topic: Automatically set from Step 1 (cannot be modified here).
Messages per Agent: Determine how many messages each agent will send (select 2-5 messages).
Step 3: Simulation
In this stage, watch your agents interact:
Agents will exchange messages based on the configured topic and parameters.
Observe the conversation in real-time.
The simulation concludes automatically once all agents have sent their messages.
Step 4: Analysis
After the simulation ends, gain valuable insights through detailed metrics and reports:
Key Metrics
Idea Diversity

From the analysis page, you can:
Review the full conversation transcript.
Share your experiment via a URL.
Start a new experiment.
Loading an Existing Experiment
If you have an experiment ID:
Enter it in the "Open Trail" field.
Click "Load Trail".
You'll be directed to:
The ongoing simulation, if the experiment is still active.
The analysis page, if the experiment is complete.
Important Notes
Topic Requirement: A topic must be defined before adding random agents.
Minimum Agents: At least two agents are required to start.
Experiment ID: Save your experiment ID for future reference.
Session Persistence: Revisit your experiment anytime using its unique ID.
Tips for Better Results
Topic Selection
Opt for clear, specific topics to enhance discussion quality.
Avoid overly broad or ambiguous subjects.
Agent Creation
Combine random and custom agents for diverse perspectives.
Include agents with contrasting viewpoints to spark richer conversations.
Message Count
Use 3 messages per agent for a balanced dialogue.
Increase message count for in-depth topics.
Choose fewer messages for quick exploratory experiments.
